WHAT YOU'D NEVER EXPECT A BEAR TO WEAR (and Other Ironic Outfits) was never intended to be a textbook or a valuable teaching resource. I recognize that the Australian winter has just ended and that it can get quite cool in The Outback (particularly at night). For this reason, there may be nothing ironic about a kangaroo in winter gear. Though the poem is factually incorrect, I hope you enjoy Meaghan's terrific painting!
